UGANDA’S MUSEVENI INAUGURATION SET FOR MAY 12

The inauguration of Uganda’s re-elected President, Yoweri Museveni, is set to come off this week.

DGN Online understands that the inauguration will take place at Kololo Independence Grounds in Kampala on May 12, 2021.

A number of African leaders are reportedly expected to attend the ceremony. No official list of leaders due to attend the ceremony has been released.

His inauguration comes several weeks after Uganda’s controversial Election held in January 2021 in which he ‘defeated’ main opposition leader, Bobi Wine.

May 12th will mark the sixth inauguration of Museveni as President of Uganda.

He remains one of Africa’s longest-serving presidents who have held onto power despite sharp opposition.
