The Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Hon. Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei has urged Ghanaian entrepreneurs to take advantage of opportunities in government programs to expand your businesses.
According to her, this will help them grow their businesses as expected in the country.
Hon. Nana Ama Dokua said, government has been introducing programs for entrepreneurs to elevate their business and she believes when female entrepreneurs take advantage of such programs, their businesses will come into the limelight.
She added that during the COVID-19 pandemic last year, government introduced Coronavirus Alleviation Program Business Support Scheme (CAPBuSS) and over 300,000 Ghanaians applied.
Hon. Dokua made this statement during the launch of Women Entrepreneurs Rise (WeRise) Network which was hosted on April 25, 22 at Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
The WeRise Network is a supportive network established under Ghana Women Entrepreneurship Summit (GWES) to unite the effort of women in the MSMEs sector to tackle shared challenges and to provide a suitable environment for constructive peer interactions and knowledge sharing.
Hon. Ama Dokua added tha,t money is important in growing business but entrepreneurship programs from Ghana Enterprise Agency (GEA) shouldn’t be looked down as she urged Ghanaian women entrepreneurs to take advantage of such opportunities to grow their business and also expand their networks in business areas.
