Kwadwo Nkansah, alias Lil Win, a Kumawood actor, and producer who supposedly signed a two-year contract with New Edubiase United, a top league football team, a month ago, is a true professional footballer.
The actor and entrepreneur was one of five new signees announced by the team on Friday, October 15, 2021, before the commencement of the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season.
While many people praised Lil Win’s new accomplishment as a footballer, others questioned the revelation, claiming that his involvement with the club could merely be on an ambassadorial basis.
Some speculated that his unveiling as a club footballer was really a PR stunt to entice his fans to the club.
Lil Win later claimed that, while the club’s CEO wanted him to be an ambassador, the team’s coach insisted on him playing on the field for the next two seasons.
Saddick Adams, a sports journalist, rushed to Twitter on Thursday, November 18th, 2021, to publish Lil Win’s ID card, which confirms the actor is now recognized by the Ghana Football Association as a professional footballer.
Kwadwo Nkansah’s date of birth is listed as April 15, 1987, making him 34 years old.
