REGUILON NEARING MANCHESTER UNITED MOVE
Manchester United’s intentions to sign Sergio Reguilon this transfer window are clear.
The English side are in negotiations with Real Madrid for the full-back.
United want to buy him outright with no strings attached to Madrid, but the Spanish champions are hoping to have a buyback option after one or two seasons.
The price is still up in the air and will depend on what agreements are in place, but it is expected to be around 25 million euros.
Reguilon has become highly sought after having impressed with Sevilla on loan.
The Andalusians themselves had been interested in making his signing permanent but they’re now closing in on Marcos Acuna from Sporting CP.
United, then, have emerged as frontrunners to sign the Spaniard as it is clear that, with Marcelo and Ferland Mendy in place at Madrid, he won’t have the minutes he desires.
Reguilon could work with fellow Spain internationals David De Gea and Juan Mata at Old Trafford.
