Olympics’ Annor Walker named Coach of the Year

Great Olympics and Black Stars Team B coach Annor Walker has been adjudged Men’s Coach of the Year at the 2021 Universal Premier League Awards.

Coach Annor Walker beat off competition from Accra Hearts of Oak’s Samuel Boadu and Asante Kotoko’s Mariano Barreto to win the award.

The event which was held at the Accra City Hall of the AMA Building in Accra rewarded deserving players and officials for the 2020-21 league season.

The former Berekum Chelsea coach since joining Great Olympics has managed to transform the team.

Annor Walker is currently rated us one of the best tacticians in the local scene following his exploits at Nania FC and Berekum Chelsea. He led Nania FC to win the MTN FA cup in 2011 after beating Asante Kotoko 1-0 in the final at the Accra Sports stadium.

He again played a key role in Berekum Chelsea’s campaign in the 2012 CAF Champions League when the team qualified to play in the group stages of the competition in their maiden campaign.

Annor Walker previously cached Tudu Mighty Jets and Kpando Heart of Lions.

The award ceremony was a successful one as it drew football administrators and footballers across the country under one umbrella.
