Former Board Member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Alhaji Abu Lamin has cautioned the Ghana Football Association (GFA) against the idea of giving full autonomy of the Ghanaian Premier league to an entity.
He rather favors the league going on Semi autonomy than handing full autonomy to an individual or cooperate entity.
Alhaji Lamin is of the view that, there are lot of things that goes into giving full autonomy.
“A lot of things goes into this, example, such as financial obligations, and assets declaration. So I will rather suggest we give only semi autonomy Ghana Premier League.”
The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has taken a decision to make the Ghana Premier League autonomous.
In light of this decision, the Executive Council, at its meeting on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, has decided to form a 5-member Committee to advise the GFA on how to proceed with the implementation of the Policy.
