Member of Parliament for Wa West, Mr. Joseph Yieleh Chireh, has chided President Akufo-Addo for the slow pace of fighting coronavirus in Ghana.
According to him, the government has failed to put strict measures in place to control the disease.
The former Health Minister chastised the current administration of not being proactive enough to prevent the spread of the deadly COVID-19 in the country.
“The government has not done enough to make to sure the control the disease, is very sad Ghana is going through hard times,government should have reacted fast than they are doing now,”

The lawmaker pointed out that when the outbreak first occurred in China and hit other African countries, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned that Ghanaians stand a high risk of contracting the COVID-19 due to the porous borders and the aviation system in the country.
Ghana’s Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyemang Manu has confirmed that the country has seen an increase in its cases to 195 and 5 deaths as of Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
All five deaths had underlying chronic medical conditions prior to Coronavirus infection.
