NPP Primaries: Asenso-Boakye Floors Daniel OKyem Aboagye To …

Deputy Chief of Staff and Political Assistant for the President Nana Akufo-Addo, has defeated Incumbent, Francis Asenso-Boakye to  represent the people of Bantama in the ticket of the New Patriotic Party.

The results came in which saw Asenso-Boakye winning comfortably with 456 votes as against 122 by the incumbent Daniel Okyem Aboagye.

About 310 aspirants will contest in the 101 constituencies, while 65 candidates will go unopposed.

Bantama Constituency which was regarded as an area to watch and hotspot by many political analysts was contested by incumbent Member of Parliament, Daniel Okyem Aboagye.

Preliminary results coming in from polling stations in Bantama showed that Mr Asenso-Boakye was in a comfortable lead and his supporters were sure of a landslide victory.
