NDC Should Desist From Tribal Politics -Sammy Awuku
The National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of constantly indulging in tribal politics to amass votes during national elections.
He said, “ethnocentric politics is not good for Ghana’s forward movement.”
“They should tell us their alternative for Free SHS, Planting for Food and Jobs, the payment of the various allowances and others,”Sammy Awuku told Kwame Tutu on Anopa Nkomo on Accra-based Kingdom FM 107.7
“But I have very important question for John Mahama, perhaps, the most important question for 2020: What does John Mahama stand for? What does he believe in? What is his vision?”
According to him, despite Nana Addo’s shortcomings, “tribalism is not one of them,” hence must not be tagged with such attributes.
The National Youth Employment Agency (YEA) Board Chairman therefore charged the NDC to learn from the NPP to evolve campaign based on ideas and policies to ensure the country’s progress.
He admonished the electorate to vote for competent and visionary candidates to take the country to the Promised Land.
Sammy Awuku urged the NDC to refrain from tribal politics in the upcoming polls.
