With less than two (2) months to the 2020 general elections, some 200 members of the opposition National Democratic Congress at Kotoso in the Kwahu East Constituency of the Eastern Region have ditched their party, for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

This was made known after the District Chief Executive for the area Isaac Agyapong, the party’s Constituency Chairman Isaac Kwaku Addo, and other constituency executives stormed the community to engage the residents on one-on-one campaign.

The group noted that their defection to the NPP was compelled by the good policies of the Akufo-Addo government, especially the flagship Free Senior High School policy among other development projects in their constituency.

The group also vowed to ensure that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo wins massively in their constituency as well as maintaining their MP with an overwhelming victory.

Isaac Agyapong, Kwahu East DCE, received the defected members from the biggest opposition party, with open arms as the country gears towards election come December 7.

Addressing the group, Isaac Agyapong emphasized that the people of Kotoso should change their pattern of voting come 2020.

He reiterated that Kotoso has been voting for NDC all these years but can’t boast of any development project in the area but just in three and half years under the NPP government numerous projects have been executed.

He charged the electorates to reject NDC and their parliamentary candidate and vote massively for NPP.
