Kofi Akpaloo Reveals Details Of EC’s IPAC Meetings

The Founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Percival Kofi Akpaloo, has disclosed that, the new voters’ register is a necessity and will start at late June and ending of July .

Kofi Akpaloo revealed this after IPAC meeting with political parties today Wednesday 27th May,2020.

The agenda at the IPAC meeting, was to discuss an update on the 2020 registration exercise.

According to him, the Electoral Commission (EC) has finalized a tentative tenure of completing the new registration exercise.

However, Kofi Akpaloo believes that if the pandemic is down, the EC should be able to devise a means of conducting this exercise by the end of May.

“There is no way we won’t have a new Voters’ Register, by end of July if the burden comes down then the EC can devise ways of ensuring they do what they are mandated to do in a way that will not put the lives of people at risk,” Percival Kofi Akpaloo told Reynold Agyemang on ‘Pae Mu Ka’ on Accra-based Kingdom FM 107.7

Reports reaching Kingdomfmonline.com indicate that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) this morning boycotted the InterParty Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting at the Electoral Commission (EC).
