The former Communication Director of Ghana’s largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Solomon Nkansah has lamented about the managerial style of the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) Jean Mensa, for refusing to take into consideration the opposing views of some Ghanaians and the various political parties under the umbrella of Inter-Party Resistance Against the New Voter’s Register.
Speaking in an interview with Lawyer Ohene Gyan on ‘Pae Mu Ka’ on Accra based Kingdom FM 107.7 he said “Jean Mensa is not running a ‘Jean Mensa Company Limited’ but running the Republic of Ghana”
However, the former Communication Director expressed his doubt over the EC’s ability to demonstrate neutrality in their work to manage the election management body.
“If you behave and act like an NPP and do not demonstrate political neutrality, then how do you expect Ghanaians to believe and accept the good works that you will be doing for the country?”
Solomon Nkansah therefore questioned the managerial style of the EC’s Chairperson.
“Maame Jean Mensa does not act in a manner that shows that she has lived about a political recruit. Jean Mensa is not running a ‘Jean Mensa Company Limited’ but running the Republic of Ghana. And the Republic has the right and access to everything”
