The Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Pre-tertiary Education, Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum, has commended President Nana Akufo-Addo for his swift approach and interventions in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic in Ghana.

Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum believes the partial lockdown and other bold decisions taken by the President, have helped in minimising the spread of the virus.

He further stressed that the pandemic presents an opportunity to transform the mindset of Ghanaians for nation-building.

“The president has taken the appropriate steps and implement the best of policies to defeat the virus so let us also do our part by wearing the nose masks, practicing social distancing and frequently sanitizing and washing hands under running water” Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum exclusively  told Kwaku Owusu Adjei  on Kingdom107.7FM’s afternoon show, ‘Pae Mu Ka’ on Accra-based radio station.

Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum says the president has showed unique leadership, commitment and desire by implementing the best of policies in order to contain and halt the spread of the virus.

He also admonished Ghanaians to strictly adhere to health protocols in order to stay safe from the Covid-19.

He particularly charged the citizenry to exercise social distancing, wear face mask and also wash their hands with running water and soap, among others, all the time.
