Allow Party Executives To 'Chop' You - Atubiga Tells NDC Ladies

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended former Presidential hopeful, Stephen Atubiga with immediate effect.

A letter addressed to Mr Atubiga and signed by the General Secretary of the NDC, Mr, Johnson Asiedu Nketia said Mr Atubiga was suspended for “persistent anti-party conduct”.

According to the statement, although Mr. Atubiga had made earlier promises to refrain from denting the image of the party during a meeting with the national executives on February 24, 2021, he breached the promise contrary to Article 47 (1) (a,b) of the Party’s constitution.

“At the end of its deliberation, therefore, the following decisions were taken in accordance with the said Articles 48 (1), 48 (8a and b) of the Party’s constitution;

“That with immediate effect, your membership of the NDC is suspended,” the statement said.
