HRM Eze Dr.Amb. Chukwudi Ihenetu, the King of the Igbo Community in Ghana, has made a humble request to the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, to allow Nigerians to engage in retailing in our local markets.

Despite the fact that the Trade Union Congress is following the law, he feels Nigerians should be permitted to trade in our domestic marketplaces.

The Igbo King urged Ghana’s government to intercede and temper justice with mercy, allowing free trade between Ghana and Nigeria in our local markets.

“Ghana has had a long-standing trading partnership with Nigeria, and nothing would jeopardize the two countries’ strong relationship,” he said.

He stated that the government of Ghana has been supportive and accommodating to Nigerians for some decades now.
