The Kaneshie District Court has discharged six accused persons who were earlier charged with the main suspect Eric Kojo Dua for allegedly killing two police officers.
The court, after discharging the six suspects, charged the main suspect, Eric Kojo Dua alias Sakoora for conspiracy to commit murder and murder of two police officers who were killed at Kasoa Budumburam but his plea was not taken.
According to the prosecution led by ASP Sylvester Asare the three other accomplices of Dua are persons who were with him in his car when the incident happened.
He said they are Michael Anim, one Theophilus and Kay have taken to their heels and the police are investigating to bring them to stand trial.
The six, Isaac Mensah, Ibrahim Zakaria, Oblitey Commey, Victor Yire, Fatau Ahmed and Isaac Amissah were discharged after the prosecutor told the court presided over by Rosemond Duodua Agyiri that per the latest development, they want to substitute the charge sheet which after the substitution their names were not part.
The court has remanded Eric Kojo Dua into Bureau of National Investigations ( BNI) to reappear on the 9th of October, 2019.
Two police officers, Lance Corporal Mohammed Awal, and Sgt Dzamesi were killed last month allegedly by Eric Dua and others who were occupants of a Toyota Camry vehicle as they opened fire on them along the Kasoa to Budumburam stretch of the Accra Cape Coast road.
