A.B. Crentsil, a highlife musician, has died at the age of 79.

Alfred Benjamin Crentsil, a highlife legend, died at the age of 79.

“AB CRENSTIL, FAREWELL. 

AB Crenstil, the original composer and performer of the renowned and contentious song “Moses and Aba,” has died! 

He was in a number of bands before joining the Sweet Talks Band with Smart Nkansah and then forming his own band, Ahenfo. 

His hit songs “Juliana and Obi ba wiase cannot be forgotten” have prompted tributes to the guy recognized as one of Ghana’s greatest musicians.

A.B. Crentsil was born in Tarkwa in 1943. He played in the El Dorados Band, Sweet Talks, Talk Of The Town, and later his own Ahenfo Band.
