NAGRAT Calls For Covid Testing Of Final Year SHS Students In …
Vice-President of National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), Jacob Anaba has called on government to begin mass testing of COVID-19 for teachers and all final-year Senior High School (SHS) students who reported to various schools recently.
He stressed that, “the government must provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) for the teachers and students to co-exist on the various campuses.”
His call was in reaction to the measures being put in place by government for the final year SHS students as they get back to campus for their final exam.
“We were of the opinion that government must do mass testing because students and teachers are coming from various destinations to congregate, so we must make sure all the teachers and are save in all the campuses,’’ Jacob Anaba exclusively told Kwaku Owusu Adjei on ‘Pae Mu Ka’ on Accra-based Kingdom FM 107.7
”This has become necessary after some students in some SHS schools tested positive for Covid-19 virus.”
Government in June, opened up for final year students to resume school and complete the final phase of their education.
