Deputy Minister of Interior, Major (retired) Derrick Oduro has urged Ghanaians to comply with lockdown restrictions to avoid clashes with the security agencies.
According to him, Ghanaians must just adhere to lockdown restrictions to avoiding any brutality with the security agencies.
On the first day of the lockdown in Accra and Kumasi, there have been several reports of military brutalities against citizens.
” I advised all Ghanaians to go to according to the lockdown restrictions if you go against that the law must work,”Major (retired) Derrick Oduro told Kwame Tutu on ‘Anopa Nkomo’ on Accra-based Kingdom FM 107.7
“To avoid all these just stay indoors and go according to the lockdown restrictions to avoid any clashes with the Military,” he added
President Nana Akufo-Addo has declared a partial lockdown of Accra and Kumasi.
The lockdown which affects Accra, Tema and Kumasi will last for two weeks.
