An Accra High Court presided over by His lordship Charles Ekow Baiden has granted bail to Christian Agyei, the alleged prime suspect in the murder of the Public Affairs Manager of the Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority (GPHA) Mrs. Josephine Asante who was serving as a houseboy to the deceased.
He was granted bail in the sum of Ghc 200,000 with two sureties after the bail conditions were varied from GHC 200,000 with two sureties, one to be justified making it easy for him to meet the bail conditions.
The Public Affairs Manager of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) Mrs. Josephine Asante was murdered in cold blood at his residence after attending an end of year party organized by the GPHA.
The deceased was found stabbed to death on Sunday dawn at her residence at Tema.
The 49-year-old mother was said to be living in her house with her son and a houseboy at the time of the incident.
Her 12-year-old boy called for help when he woke up and found the mother motionless not responding to calls to wake up.
Police investigations discovered sperms in the pelvic region which the Tema District has ordered for a Forensic examination of the alleged sperms to prove its authenticity and also to link it to the accused person.
The Tema District Court will recall the case on the 10th of October 2019.
