HITA, a German NGO engaged in the health and education sectors of Ghana, Chances Foundation, a Ghanaian NGO engaged in health and educational interventions and DreamsAlive, a vibrant team of developmental workers have joined forces to empower the people of Adaklu in the Volta Region.
The three organizations have had the honour to hand over a range of carefully chosen donations to Togbe Lablulu in a celebration held in Adaklu-Waya, the capital of the Adaklu District.
The items donated were Schoolbags, Computer Labs and Medical Equipment among others.
The first 80 school bags were distributed to selected children (girls) of Waya and three surrounding villages.
The beneficiaries are from vulnerable backgrounds who face the risk of inadequate access to formal education due to their family’s inability to pay for their basic needs.
The donation was based on a proposition of the DreamsAlive Foundation whose work is based on the premise that empowering girls and women is one of the most effective means to boost the development of the disadvantaged communities.
These team of NGO’s also donated two new computer laboratories to Adaklu Senior High School in Waya and Adaklu-Hasu Basic School.
These laboratories were funded by German HITA.
The team also provided a range of medical equipment donated by health institutions in Germany to EPC Clinic in Adaklu Waya which is currently in the process of becoming fully operational.
The donors further emphasized that much premium must be placed on the items to guaranteeing its quality and efficient use.
