A/R: Washed Away Bridge Replaced For Residents Of Ahinsan Es …

A wooden footbridge has been constructed for residents of Ahinsan Estate and Anloga in the Asokwa municipality in the Ashanti region.
The project with an estimated cost of Nine Thousand Five Hundred (Gh¢9,500) was constructed by the Church of Pentecost with the support of Methodist Church-Episcopal and Kingdom Seekers Ministry.
The bridge that links the Ahinsan Estate electoral area and Anloga West electoral area was washed away after a heavy downpour in the area some months ago.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Municipal Chief Executive for Asokwa, Hon Akwanuasa Gyimah commended the church of Pentecost for taking such an initiative and other supporting churches.
He said, the government alone can not bring development in all areas, therefore, there is the need for individuals, other philanthropists, and churches to support.
He took the opportunity to educate residents in the area to avoid dumping of refuses into the Susuan river and called on Pastors of various churches around Anloga and Ahinsan Estate to preach on sanitation.
The District Pastor for Church of Pentecost Ahinsan Estate, Rev Johnson Asiedu said, the church took the initiative as part of the church vision. “Vision 2023 – Possessing The Nations” tasks them as a church to participate in national activities as far as to ensure development in their area of jurisdiction.
He indicated that the church has started embarking on a cleanup exercise and sanitation campaign in the electoral area on the need for residents to clean their environment in order to ensure that members live in a healthy environment.

The Assembly Member of the Area, Hon Nana Yaw Wiredu said, they have acquired a grader from the Asokwa municipal assembly to reshape access roads at Ahinsan Estate.
He indicated that they will soon commission police post at Ahinsan Estate to improve security in the area.
Nana Yaw Wiredu called on residents to participate massively in the upcoming referendum.
