Okere Assembly Confirms Ken Daniel Addo As DCE

Assembly Members at Okere District have endorsed the President’s nominee, Hon Ken Daniel Addo, as the new District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area.

He secured 30 votes out of the 30 assembly members who voted during the election representing a 100% endorsement.

In his acceptance speech, after being declared by the area Electoral Commission Returning Officer, he thanked the dignitaries at the gathering most especially the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, Hon Dan Botwe, Local Government Minister, Hon Seth Kwame Acheampong, Eastern Regional Minister, and Assembly members for confirming his nomination.

He assured that he will give out his best to ensure that the District becomes well developed and less-in-need of basic amenities to catch up with the development of the country.’’

He, therefore, appealed with the assembly members to rally behind him and the government to develop the District.

Hon Seth Kwame Acheampong, Eastern Regional Minister urged the newly elected MCE to practice transparent and open door administration, be a good listener and work with the Assembly members, heads of decentralised departments, institutions, and security agencies to enhance development.

Local Government Minister, Hon Dan Botwe, asked the Assembly members to let the development of the area be their priority.
