Men Who Borrow To Marry Cannot Take Care Of Their Wife’ …
A renowned marriage counselor Rev Oscar Siripi has descended on men who borrow money to perform marital rights, saying it is wrong and men like that found it difficult to take care of their wifes after the marriage.
‘’To tell you the truth if you borrow to marry a woman your marriage would not last, because borrowing money clearly shows the man is not ready for marriage and cannot afford to cater for your needs and your unborn children’’ he said.
According to him Marriage, also called matrimony or wedlock is a culturally recognized union between people called spouses. It establishes rights and obligations between them, as well as between them and their children, and between them and their in-laws etc…
‘’Individuals may marry for several reasons, including legal, social, libidinal, emotional, financial, spiritual, and religious purposes but in all this remember to accept the person for who he or she is because that alone can make the marriage work for better’ said Rev Oscar.
Rev Oscar speaking on Accra-Based Kingdom FM ‘Anopa Nkomo’ with Kwaku Dawuro stated that marriage is not for people who are not serious or ready. ‘’Anyone who borrows money to marry is not ready or serious, anyone who collects money from family members to arrange for his marriage is not ready and serious, people like that don’t value marriage’’ he stressed.
Pointing on some points to make your marriage work, Rev Oscar said they are few things most people lack when it comes to marriage, these things he said includes,
· Communicate clearly and often.
· Tell your spouse that you’re thankful for having him or her in your life.
· Make time for you two as a couple.
· Plan for some personal time.
· Understand that it’s OK to disagree.
· Build trust.
· Learn to forgive.
Our problem today is that most people forget about all those keys after three months in marriage.
‘’knowing the person you are getting married to is the most important thing that can lead to a long lasting marriage’’. he noted.
