GHANA’S ECONOMY IS ON TRACK DESPITE COVID-19 CHALLENGES -N …
NPP National Communication Team Member, Nana Kwame Osei Adade, has reiterated that the Akufo-Addo led government started fixing the economy long before the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country.
He made the comments in response to some Ghanaians who have expressed their displeasure over government’s handling of the economy on social media with the #FixTheCountry hashtag.
But to Nana Kwame Osei Adade, the President Akufo-Addo has done very well because, under his leadership, Ghana has achieved positive growth in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic when countries like Germany and the USA among others are all graspling with the disease which has brought their economies to a negative.
“We are four months into our four-year mandate. The job of government is to fix problems. This is what we have been doing since 2017,” Nana Kwame Osei Adade exclusively told Reynold Agyemang on ‘Pae Mu Ka’ on Accra-based Kingdom FM 107.7
Nana Kwame Osei Adade stated Ghana is among the few countries that have done great in achieving a sturdy growth, although the growth rate for the country is at 0.9 percent.
Nana Kwame Osei Adade, nonetheless, expressed optimism about the way forward, adding that the Akufo-Addo led government has a track record of fixing problems in the past four years.
