Ghana’s popular gospel musician, Patience Nyarko has disclosed that she used to believe in Awards but not anymore.
According to her, some of her music at a point in time was the most-played and known by many as they were all popular songs Ghanians jam to but never got an award after nomination.
The “Wa fum Kwan” hit maker disclosed this on Kingdom FM’s Entertainment Arena hosted by Londona on Saturday 14th March.
” I was of High Hopes about my songs be nominated for Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) and winning an award because at that moment there were no what does songs popular done Obi nyanime oo but it was so sad things don’t go that way”.
Patience Nyarko further said, she being of High Hopes made her believe she was definitely going to win the awards and she not winning made her not to believe in it because anything can happen.
Commenting on secular music, she made mention of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie as the face of secular music and urged everyone to support them as well as gospel musicians.
