WOMAN MURDERED IN A GUEST HOUSE
A young woman has been found dead in a pool of blood at Janeli Guest House in Somanya in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region.
According to reports, the deceased whose name was given as Believe Sakitey checked into the guest house on Monday with one Charles Tetteh but failed to check out the following day when their time was due.
The curious receptionist decided to check on them since they were still not out and their time was due but upon arrival there a lifeless body of the lady soaked in blood was found in the room without the man who checked in with her.
The Somanya Police quickly dispatched a team of investigators to the scene and later the regional police headquarters also sent in investigators to join their colleagues at the crime scene to help in the investigation.
The Director of the Guest House David Teye Annor, 63, reported the incident to the Somanya Police station on Monday, April 5, 2021, at about 3:00 pm that a young man who gave his name as Charles Tetteh to the receptionist and a lady now deceased identified as Believe Sakitey checked into the Guesthouse and were expected to check out the following day at 12:00 pm.

The police retrieved a knife stained with blood and wrapped in black polythene kept under the mattress.
Family members have since gone to the morgue to identify the deceased.
The body of the deceased was taken to Atua Government Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy whilst investigations continues.
Meanwhile, the man is on the run.
