Stephen Appiah, Two Others Arrested For Stealing motorbikes

Two suspects, Stephen Appiah, 21 years, and Kwame Elliot, 27 years have been arrested by residents of Awutu Breku and handed over to the Awutu Breku police command for motor theft this morning.

According to the victim Daniel Antwi Brown he woke up at dawn to go out with his motorbike but it was nowhere to be found.

However, after an hour of frantic search passed, he saw the suspects hiding the motor in the bush.

He said he quickly mobilized his friends to arrest the suspects who were later handed over to the police at Awutu Breku.

Kingdom FM’s reporter kaakyire Kweku Ademah speaking in an interview with the Awutu Breku station officer Chief Inspector Stephen Tamaklo confirmed the incident.

He added that investigations are far advanced into the matter and very soon they would be put before the law Court for prosecution.

He noted that stealing of motorbikes have become rampant and there was the need to nip it in the bud by addressing it head-on.

“We are almost done with the investigation but in order to ensure that we have tightened all loose ends we have to take time and get everything right so that we can process for court.”
