Stonebwoy has made a sly swipe at presumably those who reject his stance during the ongoing debate over who or what criteria qualifies one as a Grammy nominee.
According to a strange post seen on dancehall rapper Livingston Satekla’s Snapchat page, the dancehall artiste is upset about remarks questioning his Grammy nomination’s veracity.
“Chairman is so eager to take credit away from a youngster!” he wrote. We’re familiar with them, oo. However, we believe that they will never change, o chai.
Since the news of Stonebwoy’s alleged many Grammy nominations broke, some industry insiders, including Citi FM’s Kwame Dadzie and Rocky Dawuni, have questioned his claim. Stonebwoy’s ‘contentious nomination is based on his contributions to two nominated albums.
“You have contributed to the song, but you are not a nominee. The thing is, I am not the one saying it. You should go to the Academy website and see who the nominees are.
“I think that sometimes…been featured on a record is a great achievement. It’s really great, but we have to also recognize what is… we can’t create our own rules here and be using those rules,” Rocky Dawuni asserted.
This explanation and clarity seem to have not gone down well with Stonebwoy. His recent social media activity has left a lot of questions, with many wondering if he is really taking a dig at his senior in the industry.
