On Saturday 16th November, 2019 the first phase of the Agormanya Market upgrading project took place in Agormanya a suburb community of the Lower Manya Krobo constituency.
The project will see the market sheds capacity being boosted with 72 new market sheds with 2 lockable storage facility and a 4-Seater biodigester toilet facility.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality visited the site at the Market as he monitored the progress of the site clearing exercise, as he engaged himself in a one on one with traders at the market.

This project is part of the fair share of the Municipality under the 1 million 1 Constituency initiatives as the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality is currently benefiting several development projects under this initiative of the ruling New Patriotic Party government.
The MCE, then assured the Market women the ruling NPP government’s commitment is to upgrade the standard of the Agormanya Market to an ultra-modern market.
However, he stated that his leadership will give the construction company ‘Still Paul Company Limited’ all the needed support to complete this project within the next 3 months.
He further asked the market women to exercise patients as the Agormanya Market will soon receive a major face-lift to complete the over 300 lockable stores and about 2,500 Market sheds and other facilities to transform it into a modern Market structure.
