The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the opposition National Democratic Congress, (NDC) has finally tasked its members to get registered in the ongoing nationwide roll-out of the National Identification Card, otherwise known as the Ghana Card after criticizing it on several occasions.

According to the party, the ongoing exercise is extremely important for the Party since the Card has become the sine qua non for many transactions in the country.

Deputy General Secretary of the party, Peter Boamah Otorkunor in a statement to the Regional Chairmen tasked to ensure that, the party members go to the NIA offices in all regions and districts across the country and get registered
“FEC directs that all Regional chairmen, should as a matter of urgency, ensure that appropriate mechanisms are put in place for our members in all districts to register tor the card,” the statement said.
