Davido, the son of one of Nigeria’s wealthiest men, claims he didn’t know his father’s financial situation until he was 13 years old.

Despite admitting that his father, Adedeji Adeleke, was usually busy with his business empires, Davido claimed he had no idea how much money his father had.

In a recent appearance on Nigeria’s Earn Your Leisure, he made the revelation while praising his father for his modesty and humility.

“I didn’t realize my father was wealthy until I was 13 years old.”

Davido explained that one of the reasons he didn’t suspect his father was a billionaire was because he lived a simple life and didn’t lavishly on his family.

Davido recalls his father driving a Honda automobile and his mother owning a Toyota when he was just 11 years old.

Fast forward to now, and the internationally renowned singer is in his prime, with a plethora of ‘connections’ at his disposal.

That’s how he got the moniker Omo Baba Olowo (OBO), which means “son of a rich man,” according to him.

Davido’s father is a business entrepreneur who also founded and leads Adeleke University. Pacific Holdings Limited is his company, and he is also the CEO.
