Eastern GJA Awards: Kingdom FM’s Kwaku Apenteng Wins Indigenous Newscaster Of The Year

Koforidua based Kingdom 101.9FM’s Mr. Isaac Kwaku Aboagye Apenteng took home the biggest award of the night at the second edition of the  Eastern GJA Awards by winning Indigenous News Caster of the year 2019.

The event took place last Friday 9th August 2019, at the Royal Mac Dic Plaza Hotel in Koforidua.

The GJA is reviving the move to organize regional awards schemes to honor journalists in the regions separate from what is organized at the national level in Accra.

The renowned new anchor who could not hide her excitement thanked major people who contributed to her success.

” I am very honored to be given this award especially even the relatively short period that I have been in broadcasting ….And ladies and gentlemen, please permit me to dedicate this award to my family, my fans and everybody who contributed to my success and finally to my CEO, Mr. Jonathan Amofah Jnr,” Apenteng told Kingdomfmonline.com

The award scheme is dedicated to honoring professional media excellence and outstanding on-air personalities.

Mr. Apenteng has been with Unique Kingdom Communication Limited since 2016 in which he won 2017 Best News Caster at the Eastern Media Excellence Awards (ERMEA).

Koforidua based Kingdom 101.9 FM is a subsidiary of Unique Kingdom Communication Limited.

Others are, Kingdom FM 107.7 in Accra, Kingdom FM 96.9 in Cape Coast, Kingdom FM 106.1 in Mankessim.

The rest are, Kingdom FM 107.5  in Takoradi and Kingdom FM 100.1 in Kumasi.
