Former Black Starlets Assistant Coach, Isaac Adade Opeele Boateng has said he will rate Black Stars Head Coach James Kwesi Appiah 10 out of 10 after failing to impress in the ongoing 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Black Stars were crushed out from the 2019 African Cup of Nations after Tunisia beat Ghana 5-4 on penalties in the round of 16.
But the former Tema Youth and Asante Kotoko gaffer has said Kwesi Appiah should not be blamed for their horrible performance but the GFA Normalization Committee should also take part of the blame.
“Nobody should blame Kwesi Appiah for the Black Stars’ exit from the 2019 AFCON. The Normalization Committee failed to add the Technical Director of the GFA to the Black Stars’ contingent which is one of the reasons the team failed to perform in the Tournament,”Opeele Boateng told Gideon Okyere Anim ‘Gattusso’ on All Sports on Accra based Kingdom FM 107.7
“The Black Stars were indiscipline because there were no management members who could have helped the team in Egypt on day to day activities,he added.
The Black Stars have gone 37 years without winning the AFCON trophy after winning it for the fourth time in 1982.
