Government has tightened up curfew in the Bole township of the Savannah Region following series of gunshots fired during the Eid-Ul-Fitr prayers.
The curfew is now from 6pm – 6am which was initialy at 8pm – 5am.
Two houses were burnt and a car vandalized.
Men, women and children fled the prayer grounds when some irate youth fired gunshots.
Sources say the youth took to that action to thwart an alleged illegitimate Chief to pray with the Imams of the town.
However, the ban on the carrying of guns, ammunition and all offensive weapons by any person is still enforced.
