Raul Gonzalez will complete his UEFA Pro Licence coaching course on 14 June and is expected to take charge of Real Madrid Castilla next season.
Raul is the latest former player to be given a coaching role in the youth setup at Madrid, and he will hope to follow in the footsteps of Zinedine Zidane.
Xabi Alonso, who is pencilled in to coach the Juvenil A side at Los Blancos next season, Xavi Hernandez, Joan Capdevila and Victor Valdes will be among other World Cup champions to complete the same course.
Michel Salgado, Marcos Senna, Julio Baptista and Albert Riera are also set to pick up their Pro Licence.
Raul spent time working with Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham as part of his learning experience, with the Spurs boss praising the impact that he had.
“Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane met [Raul],” Pochettino said. “It was fantastic to see how humble he is. He’s a legend.
“It was a great day, and he ate with us as well.”
